We love making things, fixing things, and helping ideas come to life. These Terms of Service explain how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we need from you. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

Plain‑English Summary (Quick Read)

• 3D prints are not injection moulded – visible layers and small imperfections are normal
• Store prototypes are paid in full before printing
• Custom quotes require a 15% non‑refundable deposit before work starts
• Custom and prototype orders cannot be refunded for change of mind
• Repairs are done carefully, but existing damage and hidden faults are outside our control
• We’ll always try to help if something goes wrong, where reasonable

1. About KrauTech

KrauTech provides:

• 3D printed products
• Rapid prototyping
• Custom design and manufacturing
• Repairs, servicing, and upgrades

Some items are made-to-order or custom-produced specifically for you.

2. Using Our Website

By using this site, you agree that:

• You’re at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent/guardian
• Any information you provide is accurate
• You won’t use the site for anything unlawful or harmful

3. 3D Printing – What to Expect

3.1 Surface Finish & Tolerances

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process. Because of this:

• Layer lines, surface texture, and minor cosmetic marks are normal
• Colours may vary slightly between prints or batches
• Minor dimensional variation is expected

If you need cosmetic, structural, or dimensional perfection, please contact us before ordering.

3.2 Prototypes

• Store-listed prototypes must be paid in full before printing begins
• Prototypes are printed as-is
• If you have specific slicer settings, they must be supplied with your order
• If no slicer settings are provided, we will print using our standard settings

We are not responsible for performance issues caused by missing, incorrect, or unsuitable slicer settings.

3.3 Custom Quotes & Bespoke Work

• Custom jobs require a 15% non-refundable deposit before work starts
• Deposits cover design time, testing, machine setup, and scheduling
• The remaining balance must be paid before delivery or collection

Once production begins, custom jobs cannot be cancelled.

4. Repairs, Servicing & Upgrades

We’ll always treat your items with care, however:

• We can’t guarantee repair success due to age, wear, or hidden faults
• Pre-existing damage or third‑party modifications may affect outcomes
• Repaired items may not meet original manufacturer specifications

No guarantee is provided unless explicitly stated in writing.

5. Design Files & Intellectual Property

• You confirm you have the legal right to provide any files or designs
• KrauTech is not responsible for IP or copyright violations in customer-supplied files
• Custom designs created by KrauTech remain our intellectual property until paid in full

6. Intended Use & Safety Disclaimer

• Printed parts are not certified for safety‑critical, load‑bearing, automotive, aerospace, or medical use unless explicitly stated
• You are responsible for ensuring suitability for your application

7. Materials & Environmental Factors

3D printed parts may be affected by:

• Heat and direct sunlight
• UV exposure
• Moisture and chemicals

Material behaviour varies by filament type. Please ask if you’re unsure.

8. Turnaround Times

• Quoted turnaround times are estimates only
• Delays may occur due to machine maintenance, material availability, or order volume

9. Pricing & Payments

• Prices are listed in AUD unless stated otherwise
• We may update pricing at any time
• Orders won’t begin until payment or deposit requirements are met

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the product or service
• We are not responsible for misuse or unintended applications

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the latest version.
